Collision resolution in packet radio networks using rotational invariance techniques

چکیده
This paper deals with the multiuser medium access problem in the packet radio environment. Under the framework of network diversity multiple access (NDMA), a recently proposed medium access method, a blind collision resolution scheme is proposed employing rotational invariance and factor analysis techniques. The proposed approach (dubbed B-NDMA for Blind NDMA) overcomes the difficulty of orthogonal identification codes required by the original protocol, thereby improving channel utilization and system capacity, while being insensitive to multipath effects and synchronization errors. Performance issues of the proposed technique are addressed both analytically and numerically.

Cognitive Radio Wireless Sensor Networks are emerging technology which provides cognitive capabilities to Wireless Sensor Networks. WSN operates in unlicensed band. Same spectrum band is shared by other wireless devices like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Due to this, the unlicensed spectrum is overcrowded which degrades the performance of WSNs. To overcome this issue, Cognitive Radio is integrated with ...
متن کاملEfficient Time-Based Topology-Dependent Scheduling for Radio Packet Networks∗
In Radio Packet Network (RPN), unconstrained transmission may lead to collision of two or more packets. Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) protocol is a common used protocol to schedule collision-free transmission for such networks. TDMA transmission allows a number of users to access a single radio channel without interference by allocating unique time slots to each user. In TDMA network, ti...
متن کاملDecentralized multiaccess MAC protocol for ad-hoc networks
In ad-hoc radio networks, mechanisms on how to access the radio channel are extremely important in order to improve network efficiency and, when needed, to guarantee QoS. Traditionally, Medium Access Control (MAC) protocols in ad hoc networks have been designed to face off the well known collision resolution problem. However, when using advanced signal processing techniques, general assumptions...
